The package funds 24 projects in roads, flood control and social facilities, with tenders scheduled through 2026-2027.
How we reported this

Abu Dhabi launched a Dh55 billion public-private partnership infrastructure package at ADIS 2026. The package covers 24 projects in transport, core infrastructure and social services, with tenders expected to roll out through 2026-2027. Residents will see new road capacity, updated drainage systems and additional schools and hospitals as the projects advance.
The emirate maintains a capital project portfolio valued at over Dh200 billion, including more than 600 active projects in housing, transport, healthcare and education. This spending forms part of the UAE's plan to increase road and infrastructure capacity by 60-70 percent, with Abu Dhabi accounting for over half of the nation's future infrastructure outlays. The government is integrating AI, digital twins and smart systems into planning processes.
Project breakdown and resident services
The package allocates Dh35 billion to 11 major road projects that will add more than 300 km of new roads. Another Dh11 billion covers five strategic infrastructure projects focused on dams, flood control and stormwater drainage. Dh9 billion supports eight social projects including schools, hospitals and sports facilities. These allocations target daily travel times, flood risk reduction and access to public services for Abu Dhabi residents.
A unified infrastructure governance framework involving 14 government entities was also announced. The framework aims to accelerate approvals and reduce bottlenecks through No-Objection Certificates. A Joint Committee chaired by ADPIC will address project delays. Officials state these steps are intended to speed delivery of the listed projects.
Next steps for delivery
Tenders for the 24 projects are projected to proceed through 2026-2027. The government says the policy will support the existing portfolio of more than 600 active projects. Residents can expect continued updates on specific project locations and timelines as individual tenders are released.
