Organisers used the Yas Park gathering to test participation across short and middle distances before committing resources to longer formats later in the year. The choice of a single morning slot at one central venue kept logistics simple while still drawing families and first-time participants.
The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon on December 13, 2025, and the Miral Pink Run at Warner Bros World Yas Island on October 26, 2025, already showed that Abu Dhabi can stage events from 2.5km up to full marathon distance. Global Running Day repeated the pattern on a smaller scale, confirming that demand exists for accessible entry points.
Numbers and layout on the day
Source records list three distances only, all starting and finishing inside Yas Park. The 5km loop used existing park paths, while the 1km and 3km options stayed closer to the main assembly area. No entry fees or timing chips were required, matching the open-entry model used at the earlier Warner Bros The Villain Run on Yas Island in November 2025.
Those earlier events established Yas Island and Yas Park as the two primary locations for mass-participation running. Repeating the model at the same park in June reinforced that geographic focus without adding new sites or longer distances.
