The Abu Dhabi Sports Championship for Schools & Universities will run from October 2026 to May 2027 and feature 19 sports, including the new additions of Rugby, Padel, and Wrestling. Registration for the 2026-2027 championship remains open with no fees required to compete. Schools can contact the ADEK Sports Department to arrange training facilities, allowing more students to take part without added costs. Programs Across Regions and School Types

The Active Hub programme uses sports facilities in 23 schools across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra after official hours, giving students opportunities to practice athletics, swimming, football, and other activities. International schools participate separately through the Abu Dhabi International Schools Sports Association in Touch Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, and Swimming for grades from U9 to Varsity. The Abu Dhabi Schools Champions league targets over 400 public and private schools to compete in seven sanctioned sports that include athletics, football, basketball, and swimming.
