A series of summer film screenings and gallery openings starts on July 12 at multiple sites in Abu Dhabi.

July temperatures push residents toward air-conditioned cultural spots rather than outdoor activities. Organisers timed the schedule to fill weekend slots before the peak heat period from late July onward.

Visitors can reach the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island via the dedicated shuttle from the Marina Mall bus stop. The same district hosts rotating displays at Manarat Al Saadiyat, which opened its current photography show on July 5.

Last year the Louvre Abu Dhabi recorded 420,000 total visitors between May and September, with average daily attendance of 2,800 during July weekends. Ticket prices for the combined film and exhibition package stand at 65 AED for adults through the end of the month.

Exhibitions at Key Venues

At the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the ongoing Islamic art rotation features 45 new loans from European collections that arrived in June. Manarat Al Saadiyat runs a parallel programme of Emirati photography until August 20, with free entry on Tuesdays for UAE residents.

Evening talks at both sites begin at 7 p.m. and require advance booking through the Abu Dhabi Culture website. Capacity limits sit at 120 people per session.

Performance Schedules

Outdoor cinema on the Corniche runs nightly from 8:30 p.m. starting July 12, showing a mix of regional and international titles through July 26. Separate family matinees take place at 4 p.m. on Fridays at the same location.

Tickets for the Corniche screenings cost 35 AED when purchased on site and 25 AED online before 6 p.m. the same day. Organisers advise arriving 30 minutes early for seating on the grass area near the flagpole roundabout.
