Prospective athletes should visit the athletics office at Khalifa University in Masdar City first to pick up forms and complete a basic medical check. NYU Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island runs a parallel process through its student recreation centre near the main library building. Both sites require proof of full-time enrolment and a valid Emirates ID before any training access is granted.

Last season 1,450 students took part in inter-university competitions organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council with average team fees listed at 650 AED per semester.
