The Abu Dhabi Community League finals open on July 18 at the Yas Island Sports Complex with 16 teams contesting titles in football, basketball and volleyball.
The timing follows the close of a regular season that ran from March 2 through July 10 and involved squads drawn from every major residential district in the emirate.
Top football sides from Al Reem Island and Al Raha Gardens head the standings after 48 group-stage matches, while basketball teams based near the eastern Corniche and Al Mushrif Park advanced through strong defensive records. The Abu Dhabi Sports Council listed 1,240 registered players this season, with each paying a 150 AED entry fee that covered kit, insurance and venue access.
Matches at the complex will use the main indoor hall for basketball and the adjacent grass pitches for football, both located 400 metres from Yas Marina Circuit. Organisers added extra floodlighting after last year’s evening games ran past 10 pm because of summer heat.
Entry costs 25 AED per adult, with children under 12 admitted free; tickets can be bought on site or via the council’s mobile application. The Yas Express shuttle departs Abu Dhabi Mall every 20 minutes from 3 pm on both days, dropping passengers directly at the complex entrance.
Spectators should carry water and arrive by 4 pm to secure seating, as the 1,800-capacity stands fill quickly for the final two football matches scheduled at 7 pm and 8:30 pm on July 19.
